Harrison’s B-Day Party, Hair Show and Maddox Used the Potty!!!

This past weekend was another full one!  On Saturday I worked til noon and then me and little Ryder went on our first shopping adventure.  He did great…I hope he enjoys shopping more than Maddox does.  If not, I completely understand…I drive myself crazy sometimes when shopping!  After shopping…we met Chris and Maddox at Harrison’s B-day party!

Sunday was the big Charlotte Hair Show so I met up with all the girls I work with and we spent the day getting our CEU hours and checking out all the latest hair trends!!  I could have gone back to the show on Monday but I have to admit that I was home sick.  When I’m away from the boys on days that I’m usually with them..I start missing them really bad!!!

Sunday after I got home from the Hair Show…Chris had fixed spaghetti for super and we were just finishing up eating when Maddox out of the blue decides he wants to use the potty…and he did!!!  It was just #1 and he proceeded to do #2 in the living room floor but HE DID #1…yay!!  I know that is TMI but I have to have this info down for my records!!  We have not been pushing the whole potty training thing much b/c my thought on it is…when he’s ready…he’s ready.  I am not willing to go thru lots of accidents when he’s just not ready.  Sunday night may have just been a one time deal and he may show no more interest for a while…but it was  a start!  Did I mention I was so excited when he did it that I ended up knocking my plate of spaghetti off the table..into Ryder’s lap and all over the floor….I did. But it didn’t even matter b/c my Maddox had pee peed in the potty!!!

Seriously…how could you not miss these cuties!!

I got my fix being at home with them all day…hopefully that will get me thru the next 2 work days!

Birthday Parties and Anniversary Weekend!!

Last weekend we were super busy celebrating birthdays and Chris and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary!! 

I worked on Saturday and then we headed to cute little Brayden’s first Birthday party!!

All of a sudden the whole back yard heard a big scream and crying!!  It was my Maddox…he gets so upset when people wrestle his Daddy.  I guess he thinks they are really fighting.  It’s kind of pitiful and hilarious all at the same time.

Maddox enjoyed his cupcake and what is even funnier…he ended up with about 3 colors of icing on his face by the end of the party.  I think he was snatching other peoples cupcakes too!

Saturday evening we stayed in and watched the Gamecocks get beat by Auburn…boo!

Sunday was our 12 year wedding anniversary!!  Aunt Jay Jay and Unc Kev kept M and R for us.  We originally planned to go to the mountains for the day but we ended up going shopping for the boys some winter clothes!  We started out with a nice big breakfast from Cracker Barrel and ended up in Gaffney at the Prime Outlets.  It was a great day of quality time with my oldest Baby!!  I am so thankful for Chris and all that he does for our family.

We headed back to Joy’s in time to celebrate with all the rest of the family for Tori’s Birthday!! She turned the big 8 on September 30th!!  I can’t believe how fast she is growing up…seems like last year we were celebrating her 1st Birthday!

Caine is growing up so fast too.  He just keeps getting more handsome every day!!

Brotherly Love

First off, thank you so much for all the sweet comments and prayers for my Aunt Helen.  I am very sad to say she passed away early this morning.  The cancer was very fast and aggressive.  I am so glad I got to see her on Saturday.  She was still responsive and knew who we were.  It was hard for her to talk but when she did…she still made us laugh.  I know she is in a much better place…walking the streets of gold!

I just love this profile pic of Ryder.  Look at that bottom lip…Chris says he got it from me.  We have had a debate going since the day we met over who has the biggest lips! ha! I think it is Chris’s lip.

When I put Ryder on his play mat, Maddox always wants to lay beside of him and play.  I think it is too sweet! Everyday Maddox is having more and more to do with Ryder.  Their best bud relationship is growing!!

Saturday was such a busy day.  We made it to CMC to see my Aunt and then that evening, we had 2 birthday parties to go to.  The first one was for our cousin Harrison…he turned 2 and had a Cars party!  I wish I had gotten a picture of the Lightning McQueen cake…it was too cool!

I wanted to get a pic of Harrison and Maddox so that I could compare it to thet pic I have of them from when they were about 6 months old.  Maddox was trying to take his toy…we are trying to teach him to share.  We got Harrison the truck and Maddox has one like it…so Maddox thought it was his monster truck!

It was such a busy evening I didn’t have the energy to try and get a lot of pics.  At one point, Chris was in one room changing a blow out diaper while I was in the other room changing a whole outfit from Ryder spitting up half his bottle.  Maddox started having a meltdown right when we were getting ready to leave.  Poor thing, he had a busy day!

Sunday evening…Chris and I had a date planned!  We dropped the kids off at my sister house and we went to Carowinds!!  I have come to the conclusion…I’m getting to old for all those rides!!  We had a blast though and I loved getting to spend some quality time with my Hubby!

Today has been a hard day with the passing of my Aunt.  I went to the funeral home this evening and did her hair.  I know that God has given me a special gift to be able to do that.
