Ryder’s Baby Shower!!!

On Saturday, my sisters gave me the most perfect Baby Shower for Ryder!!  From the food to the decorations, from the friends and family to the generous gifts….it was just all so wonderful!!!  I feel so blessed to have such an amazing circle of family and friends!!

Laura made the cupcakes and they were too cute!!!  The toppers are made out of chocolate so you could eat that part too!!!  She is becoming Martha Stewart in her older years!!!ha!

My Mom did the Watermelon buggy and cake pops…the pops are actually oreo cream cheese balls!!!!  YUM!!!

My Mother-in-law made the green punch and it was really good!

Another creative crafty project by Laura!!  She used some of the left over fabric from the bedding and made this super cute memo board!!  The last page of the shower invitations had a BLESSINGS card that people could feel out.  By the end of the shower…we had about 10 on there!!!  Such a great idea and this little cutie has a perfect spot in the nursery!!

I know that they were people there that I didn’t get pics of but I appreciate so much everyone who came and showed there love and support!!  I know I say it all the time but I truly am BLESSED!!

Pregnancy Highlights 32 weeks and 3 days!!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!  Time is really starting to fly by now and I know my 2nd pregnancy is quickly coming to an end!!  May is a busy month so I know it will flash before my eyes……then June will be here and I know we will be doing all the last minute preparing…then Baby Ryder!!!  I just can’t wait to see him and to hold him in my arms….I know it will be a magical day…just like when Maddox was born!!!

How Far Along: 32 Weeks

Size of baby: Ryder is the size of a sack of potatoes (about 3.75 lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I quit weighing!!  (I was so happy when I went to the Dr. today and for the first time ever….I had not gained!)

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans and pants, some maternity tops and some regular tops.

Gender: It's a Boy!!! Ryder Thomas Carrigan

Movement: Lots of movement…I can see my belly jump when I’m sitting still!

Sleep: Some nights are great and some nights are restless…my new body pillow is helping a lot!!

What I miss: Not much right now!

Cravings:none….can  you believe it??

Symptoms: some Braxton hicks

Best Moment this week: hearing the heart beat…I’m excited about my shower on Saturday!!!

 

Mother Daughter Banquet and Big Boy Maddox

Sunday Evening my Mom’s Church had a Mother Daughter Banquet.  I just have to brag on my  Mom and say she headed up the whole thing and did a fabulous job doing it!!  She is so talented…she also catered a wedding the day before!!  She is definitely a woman of many talents!!

You can tell I’m 32 weeks Preggo by my chunky face!!

The talent in my family doesn’t stop with my Mom….LaLa is also very talented!!  She is an awesome musician, singer and songwriter!!  She wrote the cutest song about Mom’s and dedicated it to our Mom…it was super cute but yet by the end brought a little  tear to your eye!!

The theme for the banquet was “Hats off to Women” .  A lot of the women decorated hats with a theme and then we got to judge the parade of hats!  There were some really creative and super cute hats.  My Mom’s hat was called “Betty Crocker”.

This is Maddox’s reaction when I told him I would give him an M&M if he would smile for me!! 

Maddox loves fire trucks and he loves making the sounds of all the transportation vehicles.  Police Cars, Motorcycles, Ambulance, School Bus, Boats and Cars, lawn mowers…etc…he’s got them all down pat!!

Look at this little man who has decided he prefers a chair at the table over his high chair!!! What?  I can’t believe how much he is growing up!!

It’s been a long time since I have taken any bath time pics so I decided to snap some tonight!!  At the rate he is growing…I won’t have the chance to take these pictures to much longer!!

Maddox is just amazing us everyday with all his new words and skills!!  On Saturday….he all of a sudden decided to start saying “tank you” every time we do anything for him….it is too precious!!!  It’s hard to believe I only have a little over 7 weeks left of it being just him!!  I’m soaking it all up!
