Easter Weekend 2012

Easter activities started for us on Friday!  Maddox had his Preschool egg hunt.  It was cold and wet outside so they had to move the hunt indoors.  There are only so many places to hide 100’s of eggs in a church fellowship hall so needless to say, it didn’t take very long for the kids to find them!

Saturday was the our church Eggstravaganza!!  It was at a park and they had all kinds of fun stuff for the kids!  We ate hot dogs and cupcakes…

Harrison is just the sweetest little boy and miracle!!  The doctors said he would never be able to eat or talk and he is doing both!!! PTL!!

Maddox is really into monster trucks right now…he go a monster truck, a monster truck dvd, pajamas, some candy, bubble bath and some little Cars goodies!

We stopped by my Mom and Dad’s so they could see the boys and their handsomeness!!

After this pic we rushed off to church…just to leave church shortly after…Ryder got choked on a yogurt melt and started gagging and threw up all over me and himself!!  It was a huge mess!! We just left and went back home…Ryder needed a bath after that…we both smelled like yuck!!

Since his first outfit got messed up…we were able to change him into his other outfit!  I was originally going to put this outfit on him but it was a little chilly earlier in the day! I guess it was meant for him to wear it!!

After I took their pictures, we headed to Chris’s Grandma’s for Easter lunch.

We had an awesome Easter Day!!!  But most importantly we are so thankful for the reason we celebrate!!

Living he loved me, dying he saved me, buried he carried my sins far away, rising he justified, freed me forever one day he’s coming back…oh glorious day!!

Maddox and His New Adventures!!

I am so happy to say that this little guy is doing GREAT potty training!!! Last Tuesday I got a call at work and I heard a sweet little voice on the other end that said..”Mommy, I poo poo in the potty”.  You better believe I told every client that sat in my chair the rest of the day!! ha!  This Mommy was so PROUD!!!  I never thought I would get so excited over POOP! ha!

I had to take a picture of this box of diapers b/c I think it will be Maddox’s official last box of diapers!!! Amazon subscription has been cancelled!! PTL!!

On to todays adventure!!  Maddox decided he was going to jump off the porch down the steps….well, he ended up face planting into the concrete! Poor thing…It was absolutely awful…I turned my head just in time to catch him hit and I panicked…I knew he had hurt himself.  I’m just so thankful he didn’t break his arm!  When I picked him up he had blood all in his mouth and a huge knot on his head…along with the cuts!  It was his nap time and needless to say we would not let him go to sleep!  He has acted his normal self all day so we feel he is just fine.  He’s just going to have a nice little shiner for Easter! 

HIs last new adventure has been happening in the middle of the night.  For the last 2 nights Maddox has journeyed into our room and found him a nice comfortable spot on our bedroom floor.  Still sleeping like a rock.  We think we may have a sleep walker on our hands.  It worries us b/c directly out of his room is the top of our stairs and the railing that over looks the foyer. Chris bought a door alarm today so we have it installed now.  We will all wake up in a panic if it goes off…it is super loud!!  At least we will know he’s up and it will keep him safe!

As Maddox approaches 3…he is quickly turning into a little boy… gone are his toddler and baby ways. tear.

He is so special to us and I thank God for him everyday!!  He is such a smart, sweet and cute fellow!!

More Than Matching Clothes!!

Two post in one night…I am on a role!!  I have read you shouldn’t do that if you want your blog to grow…but since that is not the reason I have my blog..It is more important to make sure I’ve recorded our life! Now, on to our weekend!!

It would take a lot more than matching clothes to make these 2 look alike!! It’s amazing how different 2 brothers can be!  Maddox has darker hair, brown eyes, my pale skin and is stocky.  Ryder has lighter hair, blue eyes, darker skin and is average in size.  I’m starting to see lots of personality differences too.

I rarely match their clothes b/c my husband is NOT a fan!!  He lets me by with it every once in awhile.  I got these cute little shirts at The Children’s Place for a steal and I wanted to make sure they got to wear them before it gets any hotter.

After church and out to eat!  There is seriously rarely ever time for pictures before church!  This is the best we could get!! I’m pretty sure it’s near impossible to get a great picture of them together!

After church we went out to eat at Moose’s…Maddox always ask to go there after church!  I am so thankful that the boys do really good to go out to eat.  We don’t make a habit of taking them to restaurants  but when we do…they do well!

This little man is not saying much yet but if there is one thing I know he understands…it is “give Mommy a kiss”!!  He gives the best kisses and is so loving!! I just can’t get enough!!

The rest of our weekend consisted of TAXES!! Yuck.! But I’m proud to say they are completed and filed!  That is always such a relief to have done!!

I am also proud to say we finally picked out our vacation house at Oak Island and got it booked!!  We won’t go until the end of summer but as quick as time is passing that will be here before we know it!!

St Patrick’s Day!! (a little late)

Let’s back up some more here!!! All the way back to St. Patricks Day!!  March 17th..yep…told you I was really behind in blogging!!

I have absolutely LOVED the weather we have had this March!! It has been so WARM!!!  I just love warmer weather…It makes me happier!!  To be able to walk out the door in flip flops and no coat puts a smile on my face!! (even though I’m in a mad rush running late all the time!)

I think I worked half a day on St Patty’s day and then when I got home…we played outside in our green!!

That evening we went out to eat for Chase and David’s Birthday!!  Keleigh made them the cutest baseball glove cakes…one with an A for Atlanta and won with a B for Boston Red Sox!

This was a great Saturday in March that will stand out in my memories of March 2012!!

They Chased Butterflies!!

I am way way behind on blogging so I’m going to back up a few weeks and try to catch up.  My blog is our family scrapbook and I really don’t want to leave anything out!

March 14th me and the boys met Holly and Cross at the park!

Cross is 5 but he is so sweet with Maddox and they play well together!!

I have to tell a funny story that happened…I heard another Mom yell at her son when they were all on the playground.  She yelled “Don’t be calling him names, he is younger than you”.  When I heard her say that…I didn’t realize that Maddox was the only young kid playing…then I heard the little boy run up to his Mom and say, “but Mom…he told me his name is pickle head!”  I quickly jumped into their conversation and said “what did he say?”  the mom said “he said he told him his name is pickle head”…I just died laughing and told her not to fuss at him that her son was telling the truth!  Chris calls Maddox pickle head all the time so Maddox thinks that is part of his name!!!  I called Chris laughing and told him he is going to have to stop calling him that..he almost got a kid in trouble! Ha!

They caught lady bugs and chased butterflies.  Life is good.
