Weekend Overview

This weekend was pretty laid back so therefore I have very few pics to post about.  So for my own record I’m just going to jot down what we did. I think it will be fun one day to look back on ….

A weekend in the life of The Carrigans…with a 1 and 3 year old.

Saturday morning…slept in and then fixed sausage and pancakes.  Chris went and looked at a side plumbing job.

Saturday afternoon…Me and Mom went to the Big Dog Shoe Sale and Chris stayed with the boys.  They napped the biggest part of the time I was gone.

Saturday evening…We went to Red Bowl and ate for Keleigh’s Birthday.

Sunday morning…we had nursery at church.  There were 13 babies in there…we had our hands full!!!

Sunday afternoon…Chris went to the HS to watch film and I stayed at home while the boys napped.  When Chris got home…I got some Mommy alone time to Target, TJ Maxx, Ross and Old Navy!!  That makes for a happy Mommy!!  Chris took the boys and made our Wal-Mart run while I was gone!

Sunday evening…family time at home!!!

Today…Ryder slept until like 9:30!!!  I did some work around the house and got ready to go to the pool.  We got to the pool around 11:30 and left around 2:30.  We ran some errands on the way home so we got home around 3:30.  I put the boys down for a nap…rocking and cuddling Ryder for the first hour.  Then I washed all the pool grunge off and fixed myself up the second hour.  My neighbor Jackie had a Pampered Chef party so I didn’t want to go with pool hair!!

Things I want to remember…

On the way to the pool…Maddox asked Breanna (our neighbor) if Tori was her favorite.  So I asked Maddox, “Who is your favorite?” I figured he would reply with Tori, Caine, Uncle Kev, or Jay Jay…but guess who he said…he said, “Ryder”!!  How sweet!!

I went to the garage to put one of our 3rd row seats in for Bre and when I came back in…all my laundry I had folded was dumped all in the middle of the living room floor!!  Life with Boys!!

Maddox is getting braver in the pool.  He just goes everywhere in his arm floaties and tries to swim!

Ryder loves dogs!!! He gets excited every time he sees one!!  He also loves throwing stuff in the trash can and pulling stuff out of the trash can.  We better keep a close eye on that!!

We were watching an episode of Sid the Science Kid and I realized Maddox is really learning from that show.  (I personally like that show myself)  Today the show was on exercise.  Maddox said,
“I have to exercise so my body won’t be sad”.  Too Cute!!

Roller Coaster Vlog and Fun With Friends!!

Ok…so if you’ve never heard my southern accent…you’re about to hear it!!

Just ignore all my fake hollering!!

I started videoing and then Chris called so it made the videoing stop so now I have 2 parts!!

Maddox was wearing a hat and I took it off for the ride so he has hat head!!

We had such a fun day at Carowinds!!  Holly, Jaydan, Cross, Amber, Blake, Rachel and Nana all went!!  Fun friends!!

Okay so Maddox will ride every ride he is tall enough to ride in the park…plus some..hehe, but will not go down this little slide…what?? Doesn’t make any sense other than I think he is scared of water a little.

Lately

Lately

• Ryder is a full time walker!!! It is adorable!!
• Maddox has been calling Ryder…Ryde…Too bad his shirt is spelled with an I

• We went to the library for story time and checked out some books for the first time!!
• Ryder Bear loved Pooh Bear!!
• Maddox picked out all tractor books to check out!!

• Maddox wants everything Ryder touches.  Ryder got in the cozy truck so Maddox decided he wanted in it too!! Tight squeeze and I don’t think Ryder was enjoying it!!

• Saturday was Harrison’s Birthday Party. I took Maddox and Chris stayed home with Ryder…QT with my big boy!! It was a train themed party at Cherryville Country Club.  Maddox loved the train ride…the conductor was a hoot!! He was slinging us all over the place.  It was like a ride at Carowinds….seriously!

• His cute hat was one of the party favors!!

• We got our train ride in and this picture taken right before it came a rain shower!!

• I cut 2 inches off my hair before I went!!  I was desperate and thankful it turned out good!! Crazy I work in a salon and don’t have time to get my own hair done!!

Saturday night we

• went to eat at Moes and then Stowe Park in Belmont with Andrea, Shep and Taylor!!  They were showing Cars 2 in the park starting at 8:30 but our little guys just weren’t going to be able to hang….but we had fun watching them play on the playground and enjoyed some ice cream.  Just a fun summer evening with good friends!!

I barely caught this pic…it came out of nowhere…Maddox leans over, grabs Ryder by the cheeks and gives him a big kiss!!!  He can be the sweetest Big Bro at times!!!  Made my heart so happy!!

• I think Ryder is starting to cut more teeth….uggghhhh!!  His nose has been a water faucet lately and he is clingier than usual!
• Today we enjoyed our morning outside playing!!

• Maddox is training for the Olympics!
• He loves watching the Olympics…I have been loving it too!!

• He makes me laugh all the time.  He put all his equipment together like this and said….”I’m having a birthday party”…and then it hit me that we had all of Uncle Kevin’s equipment sitting out at his party.  I’m so glad his party left an impression on him!!
• His imagination is GROWING!!
