I’m Thankful for so many things on this Thanksgiving Day….but one of the blessings I’m most Thankful for is this Little Man!!
I hope that everyone has had a great day with their family and ate lots of good food and took a nice long nap!!
And….if you are a deer hunter….I hope you got one!! Congrats to my hubby on his 2 this morning and to LaLa on nailing her very first shot at her very first deer….It’s in her blood!

Sunday night we got to hang out with our good friends Krista and Matthew. Before kids…we were with them about every weekend. Now we are lucky to get together once every few months. Life is so busy but no matter how often you get to see some friends…you know that you will always pick right back up with them when you are together. We are so blessed to have a few couples that are those kind of special friends!
Maddox loves Elan and Beckham’s Cozy Coupe….we should probably get him one but honestly….our house is starting to get a little crowded!

Mawmaw and PawPaw Carrigan brought Maddox his very own SC Gamecocks Recliner complete with a built in cup holder! He is loving his new chair. He loves to stand in it and climb on it but we have caught him chillaxin’ in it a few times.

So Maddox what are you up to?
You turned 17 months on November 18th. You weigh about 32lbs and are wearing size 2T and 6 shoe. You are still in size 4 diapers but you could probably be bumped up to a size 5 but I’m squeezing all the time I can in the 4’s b/c you get less diapers in the 5’s. Ha!
You are finally starting to say some words…mostly mimicking what we say.
You love your blanket that Aunt LaLa made for you. It is a must have at naps and night night.
You are starting to like cartoons but I’m definitely going to control how much you watch.
You understand about everything we tell you to do.
You love to get a book and climb on our lap to read it to you….but most of the time you don’t let us finish it before you are climbing down to go get another book.
You love to be outside
When you see a deer you say BOOOOMMMM. PawPaw taught you that!
You like to feed yourself. You love fruit.

Wow…I don’t even know where to begin on this blog. So much to catch up on. I took a little blog break over the last 2 weeks. Mainly because I just haven’t been able to stay up late and blog. I have been going to bed way early most nights because I’m just exhausted! Sounds a little like pregnancy symptoms….right? Right!!!! Maddox is going to be a Big Brother!!!! We are very excited!! I always wanted my kids 2 years apart and God is granting me my wish….almost to the date. My due date is June 24th 2011 and Maddox will turn 2 on June 18th……crazy right? Now the double whammy is….I just started working at a new salon in another town and it is a major adjustment! Last week was my first week and it was great but I’m experiencing a lot of homesickness…being away from all the familiarity of the salon I worked at for 5 1/2 years and the great girls I worked with has been very hard. I know sometimes in order to reach our goals…we have to leave our comfort zone. I just don’t like the transitioning stage….especially with pregnancy sickness and the extra hormones. ha! But I know that I prayed a long time about my decision and truly felt like it was what i was suppose to do….so I’m standing on the word God gave me and I know all will be great! So that is just a little update on life…more details to come!

We told my family last Saturday at Laura’s house….she had us all over for dinner, corn hole and smores!! Maddox had his Big Brother shirt on under the jacket so no one knew yet. My mom took it off when we went inside and my sisters caught on when they saw it but we were half way thru eating before my mom and dad caught on!
It was ironic b/c Laura had us over 2 years ago around the exact same time and that is when we told my family we were pregnant with Maddox!
Yesterday morning….Chris captured these deer in our back yard….feeding on the corn he put out!!
Last night we visited with the Kisers…here is Maddox and his 3 week old girlfriend Elynd. It’s so cute…Maddox says..Bebe

Wow…it’s hard to believe another week has come and gone. I can hardly believe it is the first of November. Crazy!!! What’s even crazier is we will be decorating for Christmas in like 3 weeks….what? It just does not feel like it should be that time of year again…but…I love it and look so forward to seeing Little man enjoy the excitement of Christmas!!

These were from Friday night…we decided not to go to the Football game. Instead we just had a relaxing evening at home. Speaking of Football….the Wolves are now 10-0….as Chris says….Football is about to get really fun with the playoffs coming up!!
I wanted to get a few shots of Maddox in his cute little shirt…I ordered him some clothes online from the American Eagle kids line…77 kids and this is one of the shirts!

Mawmaw and Maddox….we stopped by her house before going to the fall festival…we got a late start so this was the only stop that we made before we headed to the fall festival. She gave him a big bag of M&M’s that has the fun packs….he was loving him some M&M’s!
We went to a fall festival at my Mom’s church…Maddox enjoyed playing with Tori and Caine….running around…eating a hotdog (a bite or two)…sitting by a huge bonfire and going on a hayride! This was all the pics I had from the festival….I am finding it hard to chase a Toddler and be a photographer at the same time…does anybody else have this problem? It’s almost like I have to choose…do I want to be in the moment or capture the moment….I just haven’t figured out how to do both.
Today we got to go meet the little diva Elynd. She was born last Tues and weighed a little over 5lbs. She is so tiny!! Precious, Precious Precious!!!! We are so excited for our friends Keleigh and Chase on their sweet little girl!

Tonight Maddox was so entertaining as usual…we laughed so hard as he kept trying to climb into the clothes basket. He struggled at times and would put his head in first….it was too funny!
Since this is my scrapbook…i want to record all of our highlighted moments of life with Maddox. Here is a story that is probably one of the most sweetest moments of my life.
Every since Maddox has been born, I have always prayed with Maddox on our way to Nana’s in the morning. We also pray over our food. Usually at night I have not been praying out loud over Maddox…usually that one is a silent prayer but I decided 2 nights ago that I am going to start praying out loud with him before bed too. Maddox already knows when we say “lets pray” to put his hands together. (It is too precious) Well tonight I was getting ready to lay Maddox down…he was still awake and I just started off my prayer…Dear Heavenly Father….and he pulled his arm out from behind my back and let go of his blanket and put his hands together. It brought tears to my eyes and just made my heart overflow. I know that doesn’t sound like much but I didn’t tell him to do it and I didn’t even cue the prayer with “lets pray” but he gave honor to our heavenly father when he heard his name spoke! It was a moment I will never forget!
If you notice….I have NO pictures from the Carrie Underwood concert!! Listen to this…I had my little camera in my purse and when I got to the concert realized it was dead….then…I had forgot my phone!!! What? Can you believe it….I felt so naked all night not having any way to take pictures. So hopefully I can post some that my friends took. But the concert was so much fun and Carrie was AWESOME…love her!!!
