Ryder is 10 Months!!

Ryder turned 10 months on April 16th!!  He is shedding his baby stage so fast and turning into a toddler…tear.  I want him to stay baby as long as possible. I will savor the next 7 weeks before his first birthday!

So Ryder…what are you up to?

You weighed 23 lbs and 30 inches long at the Dr a few weeks ago.  You are in size 12-18 clothes, size 3 diaper and size 4 shoe.

Ryder…you are such a little ham.  We love to just sit back and watch you! 

It’s getting harder to get your monthly pics b/c you just won’t sit still!

You are slowly transitioning to table food.  You don’t like the stage 3 baby foods so we give you stage 2 when we don’t have table food you can eat.  I’m a little nervous to give you certain foods b/c you still only have 2 bottom teeth.

You love to sneak and get Maddox’s sippy cups that have chocolate milk in them…you start guzzling it!

You are not saying Ma Ma yet but you are saying Aw Done!!  It’s the cutest thing!!  You are also waving hey and bye bye!

You and Maddox are starting to interact more and more!  My heart just bubbles over when I see you two playing sweetly together!

You’re not the best napper…you like to take power naps in the car and if you get one of those…you are good for the day!  It can really throw my schedule off b/c I really need you and brother to nap together so I can get a few things done.  If all goes well and you nap when you should…you nap close to 2 hours.

You still give the best kisses!!  You are still Mommy’s Boy!!

You have been clicking your tongue on the roof of your mouth…too cute!!

You have no problem getting where you need to go but I don’t foresee you walking anytime soon….and that’s OK with me!!

You’re just so much fun!!  I love every minute I get to spend with you!!  You bring pure Joy to our lives!!! 

We Love You Ryder Bear!!

Ryder is 2 Months Old!!

Wow…has it really been 2 months already? 

So what have you been up to the past month?

Tomorrow is your 2 month well visit.    We weighed you on our scales last month and you weighed over 11 lbs.  I know you have gotten a lot bigger since then.  If I had to guess, I would say you are around 12 lbs.  You have now moved into size 0-3 month clothes.  I do still squeeze you into a few of your bigger newborn clothes…I’m having a hard time saying goodbye to them.   You are in size 1 diapers.

Oh , I could just eat you!!

You are such a good great baby!  You wake up around 4-5 am to eat and then you are right back to sleep.  You only cry if you get really hungry and you whimper a little when you get sleepy…other than that you grunt when you have gas and that’s about it.  You are cooing and smiling when we talk to you…it is the sweetest thing!

You love laying on your play mat, swinging and sitting in your bouncy, but I think you are the happiest when you are in Mommy’s arms.  You still love to nap on your tummy.  You are holding your head up good, not quite good enough to sit in your Bumbo, but it won’t be long.  I can feel your legs getting stronger and stronger when I stand you up..it just all amazes me.  I was holding you today and thinking how in probably 9 short months you may be walking.  I just want you to stay little for a long time!

Your eyes are still blue!!  I’m hoping that they stay blue!!

You are still taking 4 oz about every 3-4 hours.  We have tried to bump you up to 5 oz but you are not quite ready for that much yet. Oh yeah…I have to add in that you are a GREAT burper…you crack me up!!

Ryder…you are just the perfect blessing that makes our family complete.  My heart gets so excited when I think about you!  You make my future bright and I look so forward to every moment with you!  I know you have a special calling and purpose in your life and I am thankful that God has entrusted us with the privilege of raising you up and teaching you. We are not perfect parents but we serve a perfect God and with him “all things are possible”!

17 Month Update

So Maddox what are you up to?

You turned 17 months on November 18th.  You weigh about 32lbs and are wearing size 2T and 6 shoe.  You are still in size 4 diapers but you could probably be bumped up to a size 5 but I’m squeezing all the time I can in the 4’s b/c you get less diapers in the 5’s.  Ha! 

You are finally starting to say some words…mostly mimicking what we say. 

You love your blanket that Aunt LaLa made for you.  It is a must have at naps and night night.

You are starting to like cartoons but I’m definitely going to control how much you watch.

You understand about everything we tell you to do.

You love to get a book and climb on our lap to read it to you….but most of the time you don’t let us finish it before you are climbing down to go get another book.

You love to be outside

When you see a deer you say BOOOOMMMM.  PawPaw taught you that!

You like to feed yourself.  You love fruit.

You still seem to love FOOTBALL!  Here are some pics taken a few days before you turned 17 months!

 

 

I love to get you laughing….you are just so much fun!!

We are so excited about you being a Big Brother because the love and joy is just going to double!!!  But for now….we are just soaking up every moment we can with you!!

You love to watch Wheel of Fortune!!

We love you so much little man….you bring a smile to our faces no matter how tired we are, no matter how bad our day was or even when we don’t feel well.  Basically, you make every moment brighter!  We Love You Muchos!!
