Maddox and his Buffalo Bills Adventure!

On Saturday, Chris and I took Maddox to a nearby animal park!  We have been wanting to take him to the big Zoo but the closest one is 2 hours away and time is just feeling crunched right now.  I think Buffalo Bills was a great alternative and Maddox loved seeing and feeding all the animals!!!

He seemed like such a big boy roaming around feeding all the animals!  We didn’t take a stroller and he walked the whole time….and we did a good bit of walking!

I love how he puts his hand in his pocket!!  Usually he likes to have money in it!

The giraffe was my favorite!! I think Maddox liked him a lot too!!

Maddox even got to play in a bounce house. He stayed in it for a total of probably 1 minute!!  I don’t think he was feeling it

It was a fun little adventure for all of us!!  It was so hot outside so I was completely zapped by the time we got back!!  I am just cherishing the time that I have with Maddox and our family of 3!!  I know that I will love having a family of 4 but it’s crazy to think….this is only our life for a few more weeks!!!

Almost 35 Weeks And Maddox is 23 Months!!

So Maddox….what are you up to now that you are just a month shy of being 2!!  You are a MESS!!!  Literally and with love!!!  You keep us laughing all the time with all the cute things you do and say but man you sure know how to make messes!!!  This picture is just a true shot of the stage you are in!!!  I’m not sure if it is because I am 8 months pregnant and it just harder to do everything or if it just the 2’s that are going to be harder! I hope it is just the being pregnant part b/c with Ryder on the way…I may have my hands full!!!  No matter what though….I LOVE every second and I still savor every moment with you!!!

I had to put this pic on.  I just started laughing when I saw it.  I was trying to take my own maternity pic (that is why my head is cut off) and you decided you wanted to be in the pic!!! I love that face…it shows the other meaning of  what I mean by…you are a  “mess”!!

You love playing outside and riding your tricycle…you don’t know how to use the pedals but you sure know how to ride the Flinstone way…and you are fast at it too!!  You still take your paci at night but do well without it throughout the day.  You love chocolate milk right now.  You have cried for me a few times within the last couple weeks when I drop you off at Nana’s.  I’m not sure if it is just a stage or if it’s b/c you know Mommy is about to have another baby.  I get so tickled when you see a bug…you say “ewwwww naty (nasty).  You still love balls but you also love to push your trucks around and play with your transportation toys!!  You know most of your colors..blue,green, white, pink, purple, and orange.  You are talking up a storm…you can repeat about anything we say. 

You are just so much fun and I’m excited about your birthday coming up next month!  I can’t believe you will be 2…it blows my mind.  We will be having your party at Monkey Joes as long as I’m not in the hospital giving birth to your little brother!!

I will be 35 weeks on Friday….(I am so inaccurate with my prego posts)

How Far Along: 34 Weeks and 5 days

Size of baby: Ryder is the size of a honeydew melon (about 5.75 lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: A lot (what can I say….I enjoy food during this time!! ha!)

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans and pants, some maternity tops and some regular tops.

Gender: It's a Boy!!! Ryder Thomas Carrigan

Movement: Lots of movement…I can see my belly jump when I’m sitting still and I’m sure I’m feeling knees and elbows poking now!!

Sleep: Some nights are great and some nights are restless…my new body pillow is helping a lot!!

What I miss: Not much right now!

Cravings:none….can  you believe it??

Symptoms: some Braxton hicks

Best Moment this week: hearing the heart beat…and just day dreaming about the soon coming special day!!

Ship’s Ahoy, It’s A Boy!! Andrea’s Baby Shower!!

On Sunday, I was so excited and honored to help give my good friend Andrea a shower for Baby Taylor!!  Andrea is doing her nursery in a Nautical Décor so we decided to theme the shower with her nursery!!  It turned out wonderful and I know Andrea enjoyed it!!

See the bucket with the pops in them….they are oreo cream cheese pops!!!  Yummmmmmmm!!!!  BTW….my talented Mom made all the food!

This was the first time I have made a fabric pennant banner!  It’s not perfect but I think it turned out really cute!!!

A gift from me! I  found the Gap blanket at TJ Maxx and knew it was the perfect gift to go with the nursery….it was so soft!!

It was such a fun shower and I was glad to be apart.  Andrea has been such an amazing friend to me thru the years and I ‘m so glad we can share in making fun memories with our boys in the years to come!!

Mother’s Day 2011 (a week late)

It’s going to  be hard to recap Mother’s Day b/c it has been a whole week ago….and this pregnancy brain of mine can only remember the current day so I am going to let the pictures do the talking!!  I do remember it was a super fun weekend…my shower was on Saturday and then Mother’s Day on Sunday!  We had a cook out at Joys and The Harrison’s came over to celebrate with us!!

I usually get my Mawmaw a new purse for either Mother’s Day or her birthday…she always loves what I pick out for her!

I got my precious Mommy some jewelry…it was a beautiful set!!! 

When I wear this necklace…Maddox always wants to chew on it…I think he thinks it looks like candy!

Another surprise for Ryder’s nursery!!!  Joy made these letters for me…aren’t they cute!!! She used left over fabric from the bedding and mod podged it to the letters!  Love it!!
