Wreaths and More Wreaths

I have developed a love hate relationship with making wreaths!  I love designing and creating them...oh...and the trips to Hobby Lobby.   I hate that it takes what little free time I have during the week to do them.  I made a mistake of buying extra supplies to make a few to sell... And that turned into a part time job....that made no money...ha! (Supplies are expensive...even at 40-50% off)

So I'm done for now...until Christmas time!

I am ready to start getting inspiration for a Christmas Wreath!!!  

Maddox and Ryder Start Preschool!!! (a month ago)

Wow!!!!  I took a very unintended Blogging break. 

Now I have so much to catch up on! 

So I may as well start with where I left off…..the boys started Preschool!!

Orientation was on August 25th.  I took Maddox with me and Chris stayed at home with Ryder while he napped.  Maddox is in a new classroom this year.  His seat was across from his best buddy Isaac!  They were thrilled!!

They gave them this book at orientation so of course we had to read it that night!  So cute!

After orientation me and Maddox went to see the movie Planes.  We both loved it and I loved having the one on one time with my big boy!

So Monday morning was the big day!!! August 26th 2013…..Maddox’s last first day of preschool….wow!!  I think I did get a little emotional thinking about that!

That evening the boys had well checks.  They both checked out well and had to get their shots.  Ryder cried 2 seconds and Maddox cried…..um…well,  a really long time….I had to take him to Target and get a toy so that he would quit crying.  He didn’t handle the shots so well……bless!  Ryder is in the 70 and 80 percentile for weight and height and Maddox was 97 and 99 percentile for weight and height!  I don’t have a pic of Ryder…..the days of taking lots of pics at the Dr office with these 2 by myself are non existent right now….Ryder was WILD!!  Love him!

Ryder started preschool Thursday of that week.  August 29th 2013.  He had absolutely no problem.  I had been putting him in MMO one day a week last school year so he was use to the school and the routine…so no tears from this big boy!!!

He insisted on wearing the band aid….even though there was no boo boo!  Just part of his outfit!!

I’m really not sure where the last 2 years have gone….how did he get so big??

So they are both a month in and LOVE preschool!!

Hump Day Brain Dump

I feel overwhelmed with all that I would like to blog about…so instead of trying to figure out how to catch up.  I’m going to just get some of my thoughts out with a brain dump!

1.  Baby Stella was born last night and I am so in Love!!!  She is so beautiful!!  I am so excited about all the fun stages she will go thru in the next year…and of course years to come.  I plan on spoiling her rotten!!!  Laura ended up having  a c-section after laboring all day and pushing for 2 hours.  They are all doing well and will get to come home from the hospital on Friday!!

2.  Being a Mommy to two boys that are 2 and 4 is very challenging at this present stage.  I’m struggling with how to discipline them.  Right now it seems there is no effective method.  I feel I lose my cool very easily and my patience is tested.  I don’t like feeling that way and I don’t like being a fussy Mommy who is constantly having to get on to them.  I’m just praying for God’s guidance….he designed them…and he knows what will work best.  I just feel they are in such critical ages that the discipline they receive will shape the rest of there childhood and better yet the rest of their LIFE.   I never dreamed discipline would be this hard!

3.  I had a REAL hair appointment today!!  I have been touching up my color myself for the last year!!  CRAZY!!  I do hair all day long but don’t take time out to treat myself…that’s going to change.  I enjoyed it so much!!

4.  I’m emotional already over both the boys starting preschool next week.  Maddox will be going 5 days a week now!  I don’t even want to think about how I will be feeling this time next year….Kindergarten!  Wow…where does time go?  

5.  I have started reading Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace Book and I LOVE it!!  I feel I have gained so much wisdom already and am only half way thru!  I’m so inspired and motivated by many things I have read!  We have been working really hard to become debt free and while it seems we have a long way to go still….we are achieving small goals along the way…and if feels so good.  I can’t wait to have the feeling of TOTAL financial freedom!!!  That will be AMAZING!!

6.  On a lighter note….Do yall watch Big Brother??  I’m so ready for Amanda to get evicted!!! 

7.  and Duck Dynasty is back on with new episodes…..Love that show.  But as far as TV goes…that’s about all I have time for!

8.  Maddox spent last weekend with Chris’s Aunt Jean in Kannapolis.  He did great and had a great time!!  We are so thankful for Jean and what she means to our family!

Monster Truck Bash

Last night I went on a really FUN date with my Maddox!!! 

We went to the dirt track at Lowes Motor Speedway for a back to school Monster Truck Bash!!  Chris had to be at a LHS Football scrimmage game and couldn’t take him so who better else…but Mommy and Nana!!

I’ll be honest…I thought it was a Blast! I’m pretty sure if I would have been a boy….I would have been obsessed with the Monster Trucks too!

We arrived early and got to attend a pit party.  They had games, boune houses, monster truck rides, and we could see the monster trucks up close and personal.  We also got all the drivers autographs.

Maddox’s favorite truck that was there was Stone Crusher!!

This kid is almost too big for me to pick up anymore…but I will as long as I can!

~ONE~

Last week this time…I was with some of my favorite girls in Charlotte running in the Electric Run!  It was so much fun!  There were over 20000 participants and it was at the Speedway.  Such a great experience!

Painting our faces and looking ridiculous was half the fun!!!

~TWO~

We had some major flooding in our community.  This is a park right below my Mom’s house….completely flooded.  You can barely see the top of the picnic shelter and the sliding board.  I was  a little girl the last time I seen it this way.

Ryder cracks me up.  I had to go in Old Navy to do a quick return and before I even pulled the return out of the bag…I looked over and Ryder had done thru off his crocks and was putting on Red Cowgirl boots!!  He LOVES boots.  Apparently of any kind!   He even ditched his track hoe for them.

I let him wear them around for a few minutes…thankfully he didn’t fuss when I told him he had to take them off.

Ryder got a much needed haircut today.  Deluxe package. 

I’m struggling to decide what to do with his hair.  Some days I’m dead set on letting it grow and other days I’m ready to cut it short and keep it in the faux hawk….decisions decisions.  #hairstylistproblems

~FIVE~

Do you LOVE lullabies???

Well…I LOVE this CD!!  I bought it when Ryder was a baby and use to play it all the time during the day while he was napping in his swing.  I still rock Ryder to sleep at night and I just really got burn out on singing to him…so I downloaded the CD to my Itunes and synched it to my phone.  He now ask every night for me to play his lullabies.  They are so relaxing….even Chris loves them.  I’m not sure if Wal Mart still has this CD but it’s worth checking on!!
