Carowinds!!

 

Somehow, in the busyness of getting ready for Maddox’s First Birthday, I didn’t have time to do a post on Maddox’s first trip to Carowinds. Today we made a trip to the waterpark so I am going to combine the two!!

On June 13th we took Maddox to Carowinds for the first time!!  I remember it was super hot that day but he did absolutely wonderful!  Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of him riding his first ride.  Me, Joy, Caine, Liz and Maria went to ride the Intimidator (the new coaster) and Mama took Maddox to kiddy land and they rode the balloon ride.  I hated I missed it but I know my Mom enjoyed having the first experience with him.  She said he acted a little nervous!

Today’s Waterpark Trip

I went to ride some slides with the kids and when I came back, Maddox had knocked out!! Wow! He must have been really tired to fall asleep that fast and easy, especially with all the noise around.  I think the sound of the waterfalls helped to put him out!! He slept for over an hour!

And he woke up Happy!!

We left about 2 b/c it was sooooo hot!!  The time there flew by but it was loads of fun!  I love having all these first time experiences with little man.  It is crazy to see how much he has warmed up to the water even just in the past month.  If summer was a little longer, I think he could learn to swim by the end!

Another Blessed day I am so very thankful for!!
