On January 21st we left dark and early at 4 am to drive down to Jacksonville FL to board the Carnival Fascination!!!
Chris and I had always said before we had kids that we would want to take a vacation every so often with just the two of us. We feel the better our marriage, the better parenting we can give our kids. Let me just tell you…even though I still feel this is true, it was much easier said than done. IT WAS HARD TO LEAVE MY BOYS!!!
But this vacation could not have come at a better time. The last 3 months have been so crazy for me that this vacation was much needed. I need to do an update since my praise report but to make a long story short…my neurologist advised me NOT to go on this trip. I went anyway because I choose to believe the report of the Lord and not a DR’s report. With all that being said…I made my decision with wisdom…not bull headiness or stupidity. Friends,Food, Laughter,Hubby Time and Relaxation is just what I needed!
We were blessed to be going with 3 other special couples! We took 2 cars, so the girls rode in one and the guys in the other.
Me and Keleigh
Kimberly and Heather
And here is our group!

and Me!
As soon as we boarded…we started eating!!
The first day was a little chilly!!
I love this picture…I can take 400 pictures and if I end up with just 1 that looks like this…it’s worth it!!
Heather and Brandon…love this couple. We use to go to church with them. It was so nice to catch up and spend some time with them.
Getting ready to set sail!!
First night at dinner!!
Our first day was a full day at sea. We slept late, did a lot of sleeping and just enjoyed a relaxing day!!
We were not covering our bodies on purpose…we were really covering up with our towels b/c it was chilly with the wind blowing!
So we moved on to the hairy chest contest…hilarious!
We came in to get ready for dinner and found Chris and Chase watching one of the football championship games!
We’re all dressed up and ready for the Captain’s Dinner!!
It’s a cruise tradition to get my picture taken with all the towel animals!! ha!
Keleigh checking out the elephants tail!
And we called it a night after listening to some karaoke! We had fun watching people get up and sing. Some were just horrible and knew it, some could sing good, and some thought they were just awesome but they really weren’t! So Fun…it took the whole cruise but on the last night…guess who sang???? You’ll find out later!!!
