Celebrating Stella Mae

Yesterday was such a fun and special day as we showered Laura with sweet gifts for her little bun in the oven!!!

I am just beyond ecstatic to be having a baby niece!!  This time of year is when I was pregnant and only had a few weeks to go with both my boys….so I feel like I should be having another baby this June….but…we are done.  So I plan on getting my baby fix with Sweet Stella!!!!  Aunt Kimmie is going to spoil her rotten!!

We decided to theme the shower around the colors and design of Stella’s nursery.  We were inspired by my blog friend Sarah’s nursery.  I absolutely love the combination of the yellow, navy and pink.  The main fabric also has  few other fun colors that she will be able to pull out and accent with too…like red and turquoise!!

Here are a few a lot of details from the shower!!

I found this guitar on the clearance isle at Hobby Lobby.  It was a really ugly bronze metal color so I spray painted it red to match Laura’s red guitar!! And…thankfully her fabric has a little red in it!!

The flower can be taken off and used in Stella’s hair!

My Mom made all the tissue poms and I think she did a fabulous job…especially since it was her first time!!

My Mom also did all the food except for the fruit and sugar cookie bar.  I LOVE the veggie cups….they turned out so wonderful!!!

I have always wanted to wrap the eating utensils and finally had a cute reason to do it….Thanks to Joy for doing all the wrapping and assembling!!

I mean…every good hostess should be soaking gel polish off her fingers 5 minutes before guest arrive…..right?

Paper straws are adorable…but I’ll be honest….I don’t like drinking from them.

Yesterday was also my Mawmaws 88th Birthday!!!!  She is just amazing!!

Look at poor little Ryder’s face!!  He got in a fight with the ground.  Poor thing fell off of a swing.

What a wonderful shower….Laura had lots of family and friends that came out to help her celebrate little Miss Stella!!!  We love our Laura and we are so excited for her and Nathan and the soon coming August arrival of baby girl!!!!
