Christmas Day!!! The White One!!

Well, it finally snowed on Christmas…it was the best day!!!  My Daddy was ONE the last time this area has seen a White Christmas!!  So if it waits another 63 years to do it again….I will be like 94!!  I hope to be raptured away by then!!

Christmas morning…Chris decided to get up and go dear hunting…and I decided the bed just felt so comfy so I slept until like 9…so did Maddox.  This would have been a great thing except that I should have got up at like 7 to start getting ready.  On Christmas morning we go to Chris' Mom and Dad’s house for breakfast.  I have always enjoyed going but now that we have a kiddo…it makes it very hard to get there that early.  So when Chris came in…I was still snoozing…needless to say we were dong some major rushing after that!! We got to his parent’s house around 11…so it was more of a brunch.  We had gravy and biscuits, liver mush, bacon, sausage, country ham, grits, eggs…the works…and it was sooooo good!!!!  We enjoyed spending time with my niece and nephews and our great niece and great nephew….crazy right!  You wouldn’t think we would be old enough to have a great niece and nephew!  We exchanged some gifts and before you know it…it was 2:00.  We headed back home to let Maddox nap before heading back to Kings Mountain for Chris’s extended family get together.  Well, on our way back home the weather went from doing absolutely nothing ….to the ground being covered in snow…and it was only a 20 minute drive!!!  I was DEFINITELY  like a kid on Christmas!!!  So when we got home Maddox and I took a nap and when we woke up…it was even whiter outside.  Chris decided we better not head back to KM for his family dinner and then our next get together with my family was canceled.  So we got to spend our first Christmas at HOME!!!!!  It was great….don’t get me wrong…I love being with family and all the get togethers but honestly…Christmas day usually just wears me out!!  Now that we have little man…I would like Christmas Day to be a little more low key so that we can have our own traditions too!  I know all the plans will get worked out over time and maybe we can start that soon.  Anyway  enough of all the details…on with the pics!!!

Since we were so rushed to get out of the house Christmas morning…we didn’t have time to let Maddox open all his gifs before we left.  After his nap we finished opening up his presents from Santa….I know that’s awful…right?  At least he is too young to know any different right now.
